Pat BlairSheridan College will honor graduating students in a virtual 2020 commencement ceremony starting at 6 p.m. Friday.
About 450 students who completed degrees or certificates following the fall 2019 and spring and summer 2020 semesters will be recognized during the event, which will be featured on Facebook.
Dr. Walt Tribley, who’s president of the Northern Wyoming Community College District, said the graduates faced the many challenges brought by COVID-19 head-on and reached their goals anyway. The college postponed graduation ceremonies normally held in May because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sheridan College will mail every graduate a commemorative program, the graduate’s diploma, a keepsake notebook and a letter prior to the event.
Graduates and their families and friends can watch the ceremony on Sheridan College’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sheridancollegewy. The video will also be available on the college’s website at www.sheridan/edu/commencement.
