Pat BlairThe smoke in the air over Sheridan is from a number of wildfires burning in eastern Montana.
Sheridan County Fire Warden Chris Thomas said there are no fires in Sheridan County, but multiple fires are burning in Montana and high winds are pushing the smoke here. He said one fire now covers about 130,000 acres.
Thomas said the fires cover an area that includes Ashland, Jordan and the Crow Reservation.
