Pat BlairNow here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Aug. 23, 1920.
The Sheridan firm of Burton and Sober have offered three prizes of $5 each for winners of poultry contests in the upcoming fair. Sheridan Commercial company will give $20 worth of merchandise to the person who takes first prize for the six best sugar beets, and $5 to the person having the two largest beets.
The board of canvassers for the recent primary elections held in Sheridan county will meet at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning.
A light Dodge truck hit the tongue of a two-horse wagon this morning on Gould street, just south of Grinnell. One of the horses hitched to the wagon was bowled over, and the truck was swung around and struck a Ford parked on Gould street.
