Pat BlairAccording to a report released by KTVQ in Montana, 73 workers furloughed from the Spring Creek mine in April have been called back to work.
The Navajo Transitional Energy Company, which owns the mine in Decker, reportedly announced Monday that those employees will begin their normal work schedules the week of Aug. 3.
The 73 Spring Creek workers, along with another 57 workers at the Antelope mine in Wyoming, were laid off because of slumping energy demand related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
