Aaron PalmerThe Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center discussed the creation of a new position of finance director for the facility during their recent monthly meeting.
CEO Sean McCallister explained why he felt the creation of the new position was
needed.
McCallister said in the case of the JCHC, with it being a smaller operation, the position should not be limited to finance, but other duties assigned to them by the assistant medical staff and the board.
The salary range begins at $33.01 per hour using a state-wide salary survey for the same or similar positions in other facilities, according to McCallister.
He added the position is already included in the next fiscal year’s budget.
The board approved creating the position and hiring a new finance director for the center.
