The Department of Agriculture Rural Development has taken a number of actions to help rural communities affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

On June 3, the USDA released an updated stakeholder announcement to inform rural residents, businesses and communities leaders of loan programs.

Labeled as a “one-stop shop”, the document outlines various loan programs and grant opportunities for rural communities as well as links to various sites and phone numbers needed to begin the application process.

The announcement also contains information pertaining to community leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as information needed to implement and align with the provisions of the CARES Act.
