Wyoming Community Foundation Open Chess Tournament

A chess tournament in Sheridan will host players of all skill levels May 2-4. Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The Wyoming Community Foundation Open Chess Tournament in Sheridan will welcome three chess grandmasters, three national masters, three life masters, and state champions from Wyoming, Montana and Colorado. Sheridan Chess Association Secretary Dan Casey says that this is the fourth year that Sheridan has hosted a major national chess tournament and participants will be coming from all over the country.
Casey said that the elite division will begin its first game Friday at 5:30 pm at the Bridges campus at 13 Lane Lane off of Big Goose Road, the former location of NSI.
