U of Wyoming Now a High-Level Research University

The University of Wyoming has reached the highest level of American research universities, being named as one of 187 institutions designated as an R1 university by the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
While a recent guest on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Chad Baldwin, Associate Vice-President of Marketing and Communications with UW, talked about what that means to the university and students who may be considering attending there.
According to a release from the university, “UW researchers are tackling a wide variety of challenges in fields that are crucial to Wyoming’s current and future economy, including energy, agriculture, natural resources, biomedical sciences, and artificial intelligence.”
Baldwin said students studying at the university have the chance to work with world-class instructors in a small-school atmosphere.
