JCHC Board OKs Construction Change Order

A change order containing a few different projects in the current construction project at the Johnson County Healthcare Center was approved by the Hospital board at their meeting Wednesday evening.

JCHC CEO Luke Senden explained that all but one project had already been completed, with one, an egress ramp, still needing to be completed.

All of the projects were lumped into one change order in the amount of $91,000 according to Senden.

Board President Dr. Mark Schueler said he thought there had not been many change orders on this project.

Senden added that doing the change order projects is more affordable while there are construction teams on-site as opposed to waiting a number of months and having them come back to complete these projects.
