Christensen Named Principal of the Year

Chase Christensen Superintendent of Arvada-Clearmont, SCSD#3, was recently honored by WASSP, (Wyoming Association of Secondary School Principals) as the 2025 Principal of the Year.
Christensen said this about why he was selected for the award.
These prestigious awards recognize school leaders who demonstrate extraordinary leadership, commitment, and dedication to their students, staff, and school communities.
Christensen added that one reason he was chosen was his recent work to help teachers work towards becoming principals
Another reason for the award was the work that A/C is doing on work-based learning, which the Clearmont school district is working with Sheridan College, SCSD#1 and SCSD#2.

He added that he is, “Working not only within the school community at A/C and Clearmont, but also trying as hard as possible to to make a broader impact at the state level.”
He said he was very surprised to win the award. He knew he was in the running for it, as when he was nominated, he had to fill out an application. He said he received the award in Washington D.C., when he traveled there earlier in March.
“It would have been special to have it at the school,” Christensen said, and added,
Christensen added that it was an honor for the community and an honor for the students and staff at Arvada-Clearmont K-12, “I would not have gotten this award without our excellent staff, it was due to their hard work that made this possible. Just a thanks to everybody.”
