JCHC Completes 2024 Critical Access Hospital Review

The Johnson County Healthcare Center has completed its Annual Critical Access Hospital Review, to determine what they have done well and to identify areas where they can improve.
Director of Quality Miranda Camino gave more details to the hospital board during their last meeting.
Camino further explained that the committee looked back at policies that were changed, modified or added and whether or not staff had followed those policies.
Other items they reviewed included looking at services within each department, as well as new or expanded services offered by the healthcare center; the enhancement of technology and equipment; workforce development and certifications; and are looking more at process optimization of compliance; and examining internal processes for better efficiency.
Board President Dr. Mark Schuler praised the review process.
Schueler added that he is pleased with how much work Camino has done, saying he thinks it will “pay off.”
