The WYO Performing Arts and Education Center has announced for the fourth year in a row, the WYO PLAY Middle School Drama Club is bringing together young actors from Big Horn and Tongue River middle schools for a special one-night-only performance at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., Friday March 7,  15 young actors will present the one-act play, “How to Make a Sandwich in 20 Easy Steps When All You Have is a Time Machine!”

According to the WYO, this 45-minute romp will take the audience on a voyage through time as two friends are forced to rebuild the sandwich that has mysteriously gone missing. Our intrepid heroes soon discover that history is full of sandwich-related surprises, from the backlash to sliced bread, to the murky truth about mayo, to a certain special Earl you will never guess in a million years.

The whole family will enjoy this delightfully absurd comedy.

The show is sponsored by the Homer A. & Mildred S. Scott Foundation and Seidler Foundation. The show is produced in collaboration with Sheridan County School District 1.

WYO PLAY is an education initiative of the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center. It is a dynamic series of educational programs aimed at all age groups in creative, collaborative, and playful artmaking.

WYO PLAY’s Middle School Drama Club features a six-week rehearsal period followed by a performance at WYO. Past shows have included “Folktales Around the Campfire,” “Uncle Shelby’s Poem Play,” “The Killer Story of the Story Killers” and “The Day the Internet Died.”
