The Chamber welcomed new member Compete for a Cause with an Ambassadors’ ribbon cutting on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025. Compete for a Cause is a nonprofit organization that hosts a talent competition to raise money for kids in need. The organization was founded in Cody by Brook Grant. For the first time in Sheridan, Compete for a Cause will host a talent show Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Sheridan College. All the proceeds from the event will go to three-year-old Rylee Scheeler from Ranchester. Rylee was diagnosed with Pompe Disease, a rare genetic disorder that causes progressive weakness to the heart and skeletal muscles.
