JCSD1 Board Approves Capitalization Policy Change

During this month’s regular meeting the Board of Trustees for the Johnson County School District, they voted to approve and accept a policy change (Policy DCB) to set the district’s Capitalization Threshold.

The change will allow the District to capitalize any asset that has a useful life greater than one year if it exceeds costs set in the policy for various types of assets.

The board discussed the policy before voting.
