UW Extension to Offer Post-Fire Rangeland Recovery Program

Ranchers and other land managers affected by the wildfires in 2024 in northeast Wyoming can attend an educational rangeland management program in Buffalo, put on by the Johnson County Office of the University of Wyoming Extension.


According to a release from the Johnson County Extension Office, the program

will feature UW Extension personnel and local, state and federal agencies representatives that will share strategies for managing grazing and invasive weeds in the wake of this past summer’s fires.

The program will be offered on Tuesday, January 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Johnson County Library’s Twing Room in Buffalo.

Registration is required and can be done online or by phone.

There is no cost to attend, and lunch will be provided to those who register before noon on January 7.
