Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon signed a proclamation Thursday convening a special session of the Wyoming Legislature in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gordon said that the special session will begin at 8 am, Friday, May 15, and will be conducted electronically, with the anchor location at the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne. Gordon said that the two-day special session will focus on legislation appropriating the $1.25 billion in federal funds that were made available to Wyoming through the CARES Act.

Due to social distancing guidelines, and for the safety of the public and legislators, the Capitol Complex will not be open to the public during the special session. A copy of the bills that will be considered during the special session will be posted on the Wyoming Legislature’s website before the session gets underway.

About time. They should immediately rescind all the governor’s health-related executive orders and then leave it up to county gov’ts to handle their own unique situations, making sure that all of our constitutional rights are protected.

Since the public cannot sit in the gallery to observe, what will be the internet connection so that we the taxpayers can hear this discussion? I understand the necessity for the public to be muted. Please advise. Thank you.
