Sheridan County’s Commissioners ratified a Permit for a Supervised Public Display of Fireworks during their regular meeting Tuesday morning.

The permit was submitted by Bruce Burns, who is scheduled to put on the fireworks display on Saturday, December 14 at the Ucross Foundation.

According to the website for the Foundation, the fireworks will be part of the 12th Annual Community Christmas Celebration, which will begin at 4 p.m. at the Raymond Plank Center.

Other happenings during the event include a special Christmas story by author Craig Johnson, music by Dave and Julie Huebner of The Two Tracks, caroling by the Buffalo High School Balladiers, cannon fire, kids crafts, and refreshments.

The event is free and open to the public but space is limited so those planning to attend need to reserve free tickets.

Guests are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to support local food pantries.
