Aaron PalmerDuring the last hospital board meeting for the Johnson County Healthcare Center, Chief Executive Officer Luke Senden, in his report to the board, updated them on a number of issues concerning the facility.
He asked the board for approval to move their monthly meetings for November and December up by one week to keep them from interfering with both the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, which they approved.
Senden reported that they will be starting the second year of a leadership class in January.
He gave an update on Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Darin Allred, saying he continues to see patients in the clinic, and that he has performed his first surgical case, which was a small elbow surgery, but he is excited to see Dr. Allred build his clientel.
Senden said there is a new home health agency in Sheridan, Johnson, and Campbell Counties called Hands to Help, and the JCHC will be contacting the nursing director in Johnson County to see what they will be doing and what their focus will be in the community.
