cvannoyThings That Go Bump in the Night is in its 10th year! This is the Brinton’s most highly attended family-fun event. It is held on the grounds of the historic Brinton Ranch House.
No matter the weather, rain or shine, we always have an excellent turnout. It’s geared for children ages 12 and under, but everyone, young or old, can join in for an afternoon of all-things-Halloween. Costumes are encouraged!! This year the event will be held on October 26 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
Guests check-in at the Helen Brinton Outdoor Education Pavilion located just behind the historic Ranch House. A Scavenger Hunt takes them on a search around the grounds. Science Kids participate with a variety of Creepy Crawlies for kids to see and touch. Everyone goes home with candy, coloring pages and crayons.
Barbara McNab Curator of Exhibitions added this about a previous event. “Here’s a little ditty from the 2022 event: ‘Twas the night before Halloween and all through The Brinton all kinds of creatures normally hidden came out from the walls and up from the ground. They flew over the barn and over the house, they flew over rooftops and scared a mouse. They had no bones, they had no shoes, they had no coats or hats or shrews.”
Things That Go Bump in the Night is a Free Admission event. This year’s program is generously sponsored by First Interstate Bank.
