Aaron PalmerThe Sheridan County Commission has approved a Lot Size Variance request from Jeff Tift on property he owns in Story.
County Planner Mark Reid explained the request to the commission at their last meeting, saying Tift was requesting the variance from the minimum lot area zoning standards to permit reduction of a roughly 2.91-acre parcel to 2.41 acres in the RR-Rural Residential area addressed as 163 North Piney Road.
He further explained that the 0.5-acre portion would be added to a 0.9-acre parcel adjacent to the property to accommodate a boundary line adjustment, increasing its area to 1.4 acres.
In the Public Hearing, Tift explained the need for the boundary line adjustment.
The commission approved the variance request.
