Aaron PalmerBuffalo’s City Council voted to waive some of the fees from permits and tap fees for the new ambulance barn being built by the Johnson County Rural Healthcare District, which will be located near the County Fire Hall on Volunteer Lane.
Project Engineer Jake Wright, with Nelson Engineering, spoke to the council during their last meeting to make the request on behalf of the district.
Councilwoman Myra Camino suggested charging some of the tap fees for the project.
After some discussion, the council voted to waive $7,500 of the $9,000 permit and tap fees for the project, charging just half of the water tap fee.
