Aaron PalmerChanges to an Ordinance concerning transient vendors and their fee schedules has been approved by the Buffalo City Council on its first reading.
Mayor Shane Schrader spoke on the Ordinance at the last city council meeting.
Resolution No. 1418, when passed on three readings, will change the license fees for transient merchants and religious or charitable permits.
Currently, the fees are $25 for a 7-day permits; $50 for 30 days; and $100 for 365 days, and the proposed changes will set them at $200 for 7 days; $300 for 30 days; and $750 for 365 days.
Violations would warrant fines of not less than $25 and not more than $200 for each incident.
Changes can be made to the Ordinance before the second and third readings.
The council passed the first reading of the Ordinance.
