Red Grade Road Now Closed to All Traffic

In cooperation with the incident management team for the Elk Fire, the Sheridan County Sheriff and Bighorn National Forest, cabin owners were granted permission along Red Grade Road to access their property the past two days. However, as of 5 pm Monday, officials have asked all cabin owners to be off the road and out of their properties. 

The next few days, Red Grade Road will see an increase in firefighting equipment and personnel and the roads in that area need to be clear for them to do their work safely and efficiently. Any vehicles contacted on this portion of Red Grade Road, may constitute enforcement action by law enforcement.
