Buffalo Council OKs Loan Application for Water Tank Repairs

The City of Buffalo will be applying for a loan for needed repairs to one of the city’s water storage tanks.

City Works Director Kevin Silbernagel gave details to the city council during their meeting this week.

Silbernagel said the city’s plan is to apply for a State Revolving Fund Loan through the State Loan and Investment Board in the amount of $600,000.

He specified the terms on the loan.

Silbernagel said he expects the extension of the life of the tank, when the project is completed, to be another 30 years.

The council voted to approve Resolution No. 1486, authorizing the submission of the application on the loan.
