All Clearmont area community members are invited to attend a Farm to Table lunch at the Arvada-Clearmont K-12 School on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 11:30 to noon.

This is the second year that the school hosted the lunches on the first Wednesday of each month during the school year. An average of around 10 to 15 community members attend to enjoy the lunch and talk to the students and teachers at the school.

On the menu will be grilled chicken sandwiches and cheesy potato soup. New on the menu will be produce grown by the Arvada-Clearmont students.

In April, the elementary students joined with Rooted in Wyoming at the Joe and Arlene Watt Regional Agriculture Center Greenhouse on the Sheridan College campus and planted several different vegetable seeds.

In May, several students and staff planted the seedlings at a garden donated by Bob and Carol LeResche, outside of Clearmont. Now, the students are enjoying the fruits, or vegetables, of their labors, and invite the community to enjoy them as well.

Lunch price is $5, paid in advance, which includes the salad and milk. Attendees can either dine in or carry out. If you plan to attend, bring the advance payment to the school before noon on September 26, so the school can make sure enough food is ordered. No late orders will be allowed.
