Ron RichterGovernor Mark Gordon and the Campbell County Commissioners will be hosting an energy forum in Gillette Tuesday, September 17 from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Cam-Plex Energy Hall in Gillette. The forum, titled “The Cowboy State Economy: Keeping Wyoming Energy Strong,” is a chance for community members to hear from industry and elected leaders who are working together to keep Wyoming energy jobs and our core industries strong.
According to information from the Governor’s Office, Campbell County Commissioner Jim Ford, University of Wyoming’s School of Energy Resources Executive Director Dr. Holly Krutka, Wyoming Mining Association Executive Director Travis Deti and Energy Policy Network Director Mike Nasi will join Governor Gordon for a panel discussion. The forum also will include a question and answer session.
Gordon said that the Biden/Harris’ administration’s war on domestic energy production is a threat to Wyoming and they are responding to this threat through innovation, litigation and common sense motivation, while also stepping up efforts to keep Wyoming’s fossil fuels competitive and a crucial component of how we power our nation.
