Ron RichterHolly Jennings won the Republican Primary Tuesday for the two-year unexpired term for the Sheridan County Commission. She garnered 51.3 percent of the vote while her opponent, John Heyneman had 48.2 percent of the vote. Jennings will run unopposed in the General Election on November 5 as there are no Democratic candidates running for the two-year term.
There are two seats available on the Commission for a four-year term and Michael Arzy and incumbent Lonnie Wright were the top two vote-getters in the GOP Primary. Democrat Sydnee Alyster ran unopposed in the Democratic Primary for County Commission. All election results are unofficial until after the Post Election Ballot Audit, County Canvass, and Post Election Audit of Equipment are conducted Thursday beginning at 1 pm at the Sheridan County Courthouse.
