Aaron PalmerThe Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has issued a release with the update on the Buffalo Main Street Project for the week of August 12.
According to Laura Dalles, Senior Public Relations Specialist with WYDOT District 4 in Sheridan, work in the South Main Street area continues between Parmalee and Brock Streets with isolated sidewalks and curb being replaced and ADA-compliant ramps installed at intersections.
The intersection at Keays is currently closed to allow curing of the double gutter.
Replacement of the storm sewer between Keays and Gatchell is underway, so residents can expect a lane closure with one-way alternating traffic controlled by flaggers in that area.
School zone beacons and crosswalks are being relocated to better align with the school. Work continues and everything will be functional by the first day of school.
The work on North Main Street from the I-90 interchange to Hart Street will begin the week of August 19. Motorists are asked to watch for lane closures, flagging operations, reduced speed, and heavy truck traffic when that portion of the project begins.
