Aaron PalmerThe Johnson County Commission had scheduled the appointment of members to the newly-formed County Land Use Plan Steering Committee for their regular meeting August 6, but chose to table those appointments to a later meeting.
According to County Planner Jim Waller, they have advertised for interest in the committee, and have had some applicants, but he said he would like to see more applicants from more diverse interests to serve on the steering committee.
The appointment of people to the steering committee was tabled until the commission’s next meeting on August 20.
