Dayton Days Committee chairman Keith Reichert, told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse that a parade in celebration of the United States bicentennial, has evolved into something much more for the residents and visitors to the small town of Dayton.
The parade would become Dayton Days. The celebration now hosts a 1 mile fun run for anyone aged 3 – 80, a pool party for high schoolers, a movie in the park for families, the crowd favored Cowpie Classic and the Big Horns Tennis Shoe Kick-Off.
The fun begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 26 with a high school Water Fight at Art Badgett Pool. At 5:30 the Cowpie Classic Golf Tournament will begin at Lomax Ranch on Tongue River Canyon Road. The Foot of the Bighorns Tennis Shoe Kick Off at the Art Badgett Pool will begin at 6 p.m. and this year’s movie, Inside Out, will begin at dusk in the park as the high school aged kids begin their dance at 6:30 p.m.
Riechart said there are some modest fees attached to golf tournament.

I hardly think Dayton Days qualifies as a “Hidden Wonder.”
