At their last regular meeting the Buffalo City Council considered an amended lease agreement between the city and the Buffalo Trap & Skeet Club to allow a new building to be built on the city-owned lands occupied by the shooting range east of town.

City Attorney Dennis Kirven explained the agreement further.

Kirven said the other change in the amended lease agreement set the lease term at two years instead of ten, explaining that councils cannot encumber future councils with these types of agreements.

The amended lease has an option written in to renew at two-year intervals moving forward.

The council voted to approve Mayor Shane Schrader to sign the amended lease agreement.
