Scammers pose as pay accounts

Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Dan Hilsabeck made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to warn the public of another scam concerning online pay accounts.

The Sergeant recommended disconnecting the call and contacting any services in which the intended victim has an actual account.

Hilsabeck also recommended alerting any friends and family to the scam as well as other scams to aid in the spread of awareness.
