P.O. News is 108 years old this year. There was an anniversary party held on Saturday, May 11 on Loucks Street at the business. Owner Mark Demple talked about the anniversary party.

Demple also talked about the history of the P.O. Newstand.

This item from the Sheridan Enterprise, April 22, 1915. R.O. Schieicher and R.A. Timmel have bought the Sands Cigar store. They have taken possession of the business and from this time on it will be known as the P.O. News Stand.

The Sheridan Post, June 20, 1922

At one time P.O. News sold newspapers, books and magazines as well fishing tackle, cigars and tobacco. Demple talked about the fine tobacco business here in Sheridan today.

The Flagstaff Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has old favorites as well as more unique food items. It also serves their signature Smash Burgers with several different toppings. They also serve Sheridan Beer, which is a family tradition in the Demple family.

“Gruner Brothers of Casper do the brewing, and they do a fine job,” Demple added.

Sheridan Beer is on tap at P.O. News, as well as other select locations and in cans at many liquor stores.

P.O. News is 108 years old this year. Wish them a Happy Birthday

Does anybody know if theirs is the original Sheridan Beer recipe–or something similar?
