cvannoyOn May 4 and 5th at the Best Western Sheridan Center Convention Center, the Sheridan Gem and Mineral Club, along with the Montana Agate Shack, hosted their first Gem and Mineral Show.
There were tables with jewelry, natural rocks, fossils, and pet rocks complete with eyes, as well as gems and polished stones.

Mike Bloodsworth of the Sheridan Gem and Mineral Club said they have been a club for a little over a year. He talked about the show and the Sheridan Club.
Any interested ‘rockhounds’ who want to join the club can contact Bloodsworth at his email, bloodsworth@sbcglobal.net.
There were 14 vendors at the show, including the Sheridan Gem and Mineral Club, that offered games for the kids, and even kids at heart. They could dig for thunder-eggs, dig for crystals, and spin a wheel for prizes, break geodes, and go on a scavanger hunt. There was also a raffle with several items.
One vendor was Wink Bennett, owner of Mini-Fossils LLC, (www.minifossils.us) of Burlington, Wyoming.
Eddie White of Montana Agate Shack and one of the organizers of the show, said it has gone ‘fantastic’ so far, and he thanked the community for turning out.
