Pat BlairNow here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on April 12, 1920.
Occupational taxes for the city are to be made effective for a period of only two years, the theory being that conditions will have so adjusted themselves at the end of that time that an occupational tax will not be needed to provide revenue.
Back yard gardening has lost its grip in Sheridan since the armistice was signed. More garden tracts in Sheridan this summer are to be wasted than at any time since the summer of 1917.
Mrs. Phoebe L. Allen, wife of George E. Allen of Ranchester, died at the state hospital here at 5 o’clock this morning from the effects of blood poisoning caused by a sting from a small brown bug.
