Anthony Fairbanks from the Sheridan VA Health Care System and Maggie Randall from the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services stopped by Public Pulse to announce the upcoming Career Fair.
The Career Fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, in the Golden Dome on the Sheridan College Campus.
Free to attend for both the employers and job seekers, organizers are asking employers to register ahead of time.
Prior to the event, the Sheridan VA Health Care System is working to set veterans up for success by providing mock interviews beginning at 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Building 7, room 219 at the Veterans Resource Center.
Fairbanks serves as the Sheridan VA community employment coordinator. In some locations around the nation, it’s more difficult for veterans to find steady employment. Faibanks said the Cowboy State has many employers who value the work ethic of veterans.
A. Fairbanks
The Career Fair isn’t just for veterans and it isn’t just for those in the community looking for employment. According to Randall, the current job market favors the employee, giving workers an opportunity to find a job with proper benefits that are right for them.

According to Randall, many employers who have registered to attend have expressed they are interested in hiring potential employees during the career fair, should they find the right candidate.
Employers can register with Sheridan College – 307-675-0100. The number of employers is growing but will be capped at 110.
