Senator Barrasso: ‘Biden’s EV Mandate is Left-Wing Lunacy’

New automobile emission standards were recently announced by the Biden Administration as part of an effort to cut planet-warming emissions from passenger vehicles. U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) recently spoke on the Senate floor about President Biden’s new electric vehicle mandate. Barrasso said the mandate is President Biden’s latest attack on Americans’ freedoms, consumer choice, American jobs, and energy security.
Barrasso said the new emission standards will end up making the U.S. more dependent on Communist China, as 80 percent of the world’s electric batteries that power electric vehicles currently come from China and that China controls 60 percent of the critical minerals that are used to make those batteries.
