Mayor of Sheridan Richard Bridger and Sheridan Utilities Director Dan Roberts made an appearance on Sheridan Meida’s Public pulse to announce the date of the community wide effort.

The 7th Annual Community Clean Up Day begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 4.

Trees for Trash is an annual event that has become popular among community members and will be taking place on the same day this year. The concept and execution is simple and improves Shierdan city wide.

Volunteer groups for Community Clean up can contact Solid Waste Coordinator Seliena Parker at 675-5370.

According to the City, in 2023, 59 volunteers on 18 teams collected 3.8 tons of waste from many of Sheridan’s community’s public locations.

Hazardous household waste such as old motor oil, unused paint or expired pesticides requires processing. Roberts said it’s best to schedule that disposal with the landfill by phone.
