Aaron PalmerJohnson County Attorney Tucker Ruby brought an agreement before the county commission to ask for thei approval and acceptance.
During the commission’s last meeting, Ruby said that the agreement was between the county and Volunteers of America (VOA) for them to provide services to the county.
Commission Chair Bill Novotny explained that VOA provides intensive outpatient treatment services as well as court-supervised treatment for the county’s drug court program.
Ruby said his office drafted the agreement which is the same as in previous years.
The only changes ar the dates it is effective and the dollar amount depending on what the county receives from the state for the programs.
By signing the agreement the county can take the state funding and pay VOA for the services.
