While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan City Councilman Greg Luhman and Public Works Director Hanns Mercer spoke on the cancellation of the skijoring and other snow events of the WYO Winter Rodeo.
Other events will still be taking place in Sheridan. Councilman Luhman said the other events, concerts and celebrations are still preparing for a good weekend.

Many events are still scheduled to take place. Sheridan Motors’ Winter WYOJam will take place beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9. WYO Entertainment has announced Bart Crow as the headliner for WINTER WYOJAM 2024, with special guest and opener, Wyoming’s own Southern Fryed.
The City of Sheridan will still host two weekends of State Hockey, also beginning Feb. 9.
The Two Tracks will perform at Luminous Brewhouse starting at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. The event is free.
The Warehouse Gastropub and Liquor Store will host The Nate Champion Band beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.
Mercer told listeners that they took every effort at the City to keep snow on the skijoring track, but were fighting a losing battle.
