cvannoyOn February 6, The Brinton Museum is announced its reopening for the 2024 season on Thursday, February 8, with free general admission generously supported by Ramaco Carbon, LLC.
Kendra Heimbuck, Executive Director of The Brinton Museum, expressed gratitude, stating, “We are tremendously grateful for the continuation of Ramaco Carbon, LLC’s support and specifically their commitment to sponsoring free admission for the second consecutive season. This is an invaluable investment in the arts and culture in our community.”
Free admission provides access to museum programming, cultural events and exhibitions for all community members and enables visitors the opportunity to enrich their connections to the land, people and cultures of the West.
Over the past two seasons, The Brinton Museum hosted an average of 24,000 visitors annually, marking an increase in visitation from pre-pandemic levels, largely attributed to free general admission.
For the opening of the 2024 season, The Brinton Museum presents two new exhibitions in conjunction with the museum’s two permanent displays of Western and American Indian art. Navigating Narratives: The Corps of Discovery in Titonwan Territory is an educational exhibition originated by the Center for American Indian Research and Native Studies (CAIRNS) and is on view through April 28.
The All-Schools 5th Grade Student Art Show, on view through February 25, features creative art projects by 5th grade students from Sheridan County, and beyond, and introduces students to exhibiting their art in a museum environment.
With the commencement of the 2024 season, The Museum Store and Brinton Bistro resume services on Thursday, February 8. New with the 2024 season, The Bistro is thrilled to launch new menus and announce a new happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, in addition to lunch and brunch services available Thursday to Monday.
