Aaron PalmerDuring their regular meeting Tuesday evening, Buffalo’s City Council voted to approve Resolution No. 1475, which will submit an application to the Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Grant program for a resurfacing project on the Highway 16 Trail System.
According to Mayor Shane Schrader, the nearly $570,000 in grant funding, if approved, will be used for a resurfacing project on the trail between downtown, the Veteran’s Home of Wyoming and other points along Highway 16.
The grant is made available from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
The resurfacing project will also require an in-kind match of roughly $17,000 from the city.
