Town Hall Speakers Address Second Amendment

The Wyoming Freedom Caucus held a town hall fundraiser on Saturday, January 27, at the Kalif Shrine Temple in Sheridan. A good crowd attended the event. Speakers at the event included Bryan Miller, Sheridan County Republican Party Chairman and David Hollard, Vice-Chair of the Wyoming Republican Party, who

David Iverson, of Cowboy State Politics, the largest conservative podcast in Wyoming, introduced the featured speakers, Mark Jones, Gun Owners of America, and Representatives Mark Jennings, John Bear, and Ken Pendergraft as well as the keynote speaker Representative Jeremy Haroldson.

Iverson said that first and foremost this is a fundraiser, saying that there were two things needed to be successful in politics, was a “rock solid conservative candidate” and money. There were envelopes for people to give their donation to the freedom caucus. “After you hear what these people have to say, you will want to donate to them,” Iverson added.

One of the items discussed was the Second Amendment Mark Jones, Gun Owners of American, talked about second amendment rights and said that the four legislators, who were at the town hall were four of the “best freedom fighters in the Wyoming legislators” He explained who Gun Owners of American are

He added that his group seeks to protect the second amendment against those who seek to take away gun owner rights.

On the same topic, keynote speaker Jeremy Haroldson said he had introduced two bills in the legislator.

Other topics discussed at the Town Hall included a prolonged discussion about school safety and arming teachers, as well as a lengthy discussion on property taxes, but those will be addressed in other stories to be posted here later.
