Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council will soon be considering applying for a loan for the Northeast Transmission Main Extension Project. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
A resolution authorizing the submission of a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan application in the amount of $1.9 million for the Northeast Transmission Main Extension Project is an item that is expected to be considered by the City Council at an upcoming business meeting. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts addressed the City Council on the proposed project at a recent study session.
Roberts said the loan is being requested to fund the City’s match of a recent grant award for the project.
A stipulation of the grant the City recently received is a letter of support from Sheridan County and the SAWS Joint Powers Board. Both entities this week approved letters of support for the project.
