Many residents are seeking to begin the 2024 year by improving their health.
It’s a common resolution. According to Forbes magazine, improving physical fitness was the number one resolution for those polled by the popular magazine. In fact, fitness won by a 10% margin over the next most popular resolution in their polling; improving finances.
The beginning of a new year represents a fresh start for many and gyms all over the nation will see increased membership for a time as people work to improve their health for the 2024 year.
Executive Director of the Sheridan County YMCA Liz Cassiday told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse that she enjoys the influx of new faces every year. She said one way to keep motivation high is to set small realistic goals. Another way to keep focused is to join a class with people who know the path and are on the same journey.
Cassiday said she is always impressed by the acceptance and kindness that she sees each year when new members join a class.
