Council Approves Cooperative Agreement With County For Air Service

The Sheridan City Council approved a cooperative agreement with Sheridan County in relation to air service. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Last August, the Sheridan County Commissioners approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Wyoming Department of Transportation or WYDOT, for the commercial Air Service Improvement Plan for the state-supported air service program that was created by the Wyoming Legislature. SkyWest was selected last year as the airline to provide air service to Riverton, Rock Springs, Gillette and Sheridan. The City Council this week approved a cooperative cost sharing agreement with the County for air service. City Attorney Brendon Kerns.
Kerns went on to explain some of the additional details of the agreement between the two entities.
The agreement also stipulates that Sheridan County will provide quarterly reports and any additional and available information that is requested by the City.
