Sheridan Commission OK’s EMPG Homeland Security Grant

The Sheridan County Commission has accepted an award from the US Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG).

Sheridan County Emergency Management Coordinator Jesse Ludikhuize explained what the grant funding will be used for.

The amount of the grant funding awarded is just over $48,000 and will require an equal local match.

The funding award date was August 22, 2023 and will be in place from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.
