The Warehouse Gastropub hosted a Halloween costume contest on Saturday, Oct. 28. The evening started at 8:30PM with live music provided by The Nate Champion Band and DJ Austin Taylor. The contest was in celebration of Halloween but also a public announcement that the Warehouse Gastropub will now be open 7 days a week and reestablish their late night program on Friday and Saturday nights.

The entry fee was $10 and granted each participant with a spooky-themed bloodshot that consisted of rum and food coloring to enhance the holiday festivities.

The contest attendees were encouraged to go all out for their costumes to win the grand prize of a $1,500 voucher for a Caribbean cruise provided by the Warehouse. Christer Johansson, co-owner of the Warehouse, explained how the voting for the event worked and how a winner gets chosen.

Johansson was also eager to mention the inspiration for the cruise reward as well as the other rewards that would be given to the other members of the final four that didn’t get first place.

The first round of the final four consisted of a faceoff between Dr. Evil and Fembot from the “Austin Powers” movie series vs. Christina Aguilera as she appeared in the “Dirrty” music video. After a close round it was Dr. Evil and Fem Bot that edged out Christina Aguilera by audience decision via the decibel reader that was projected on screen for the audience.

The second round consisted of Spider Queen vs. Pennywise and Georgie from the famous horror film “It”. Another vote by cheer commenced and the duo from “It” surpassed Spider Queen only by a slight margin.

Ultimately, George Lunbeck and Bridgette Dillard were crowned “Best Costume” and awarded with the $1,500 cruise voucher in the Caribbean for their extremely comical representations as Fembot and Dr. Evil.

The Warehouse will be hosting their seventh Supper Club event on Dec. 12 and Dec. 13 starring Brent Barrett and Philip Fortenberry on piano. Reservations for the Supper Club event can be made via their phone number at 307-317-5544 and additional information can be found on their website here.
