Secretary of State’s Office Completes Public Comment Period on Proposed Securities Rules Requiring ESG Disclosure

A public comment hearing was held by the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office on September, 29 on its proposed rule-making to amend Chapters two, four, five, and 10 of its Securities Rules to require disclosure of Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) investment strategies by requiring investment advisers, broker-dealers, and securities agents to disclose to their customers or clients whether they are incorporating a social objective, i.e. whether they are considering social criteria, in the investment or commitment of customer or client funds. September 29th also marked the completion of the written public comment period. Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray.


Gray said that as they continue to proceed through the rule-making process, they’ll give careful consideration to all comments they’ve received during the comment period, and will incorporate them into the administrative record.

    Thank you Secretary Gray for these efforts to rid this toxic ESG from Wyoming.
