The Sheridan City Council met for their first regularly scheduled business meeting of October Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Updated Snow Plan

Following a brief presentation from City Streets Superintendent Mike Kuzara, the City Council approved an updated Snow and Ice Control Plan for the upcoming winter. Kuzara said the plan is updated annually and talked about the major changes to this year’s plan.

The odd/even parking that Kuzara referred to as part of the policy update that was approved by the Council states that when a snow alert is declared, vehicles, trailers, refuse containers, and any other obstructions along the curb or streets that are not part of a designated snow route will be limited to the odd numbered side of the street on odd numbered days, and the even numbered side of the street on even numbered days. This will be enforced from 7 am to 10 pm, while residential snow removal is occurring.

The Council also approved the Cove Court Manor II Subdivision, which subdivides .17 acres from one lot into three lots zoned R-3 Residence District. The item was tabled by the Council at their last business meeting in September. We’ll have more from the Council meeting in future stories.
